It is a web proxy that is available without any cost. A proxy server is an intermediary between a user’s device and the internet. When a user requests access to a specific website address, the request is sent to the proxy server, which then forwards the request to a website.
A proxy uses its own IP address, essentially hiding the actual IP address of a user. In turn, users can access blocked websites, browse anonymously, and hide their web activity.
The answer depends on the reliability of a provider, as there are many performance issues, scams, and cybersecurity violations involved with free proxies. Simply put, free proxies are legitimate when provided by a trusted and established company. Additionally, web proxy providers often offer a long list of free proxies, meaning they are probably not looked after properly and are unsafe.
At Webshare, we offer free premium proxies that are limited to 10 IP addresses per account. Thus, our professional team can constantly maintain them for the best performance and security.
Here at Webshare, we see the global need for costless proxies and the scale of scams and cybersecurity intrusions with such proxies. In light of this, we have allocated resources to provide any web user with a reliable and fully anonymous proxy solution. Take a look at our documentation to learn more about our free offer.
Generally, free proxy servers are regarded as unsafe when sourced from unreliable providers. This sentiment stems from users that use free proxies from untrusted providers, whose main aim is to scam their clients.
It is important to evaluate the trustworthiness of a provider, as free proxies can often be used to collect and sell user data, expose users to malware, or even steal their personal information.
